Nyx will speak of her but tells Zagreus she did not die because she never reappeared in the Underworld via the River Styx. No one really knows why she left, but after she did, Hades banned any mention of her. She is actually Zagreus' real birth mother, which is hinted at throughout the game but not confirmed until later on. The in-game codex entry describes him as "a god of character," that takes all matters relating to the Underworld extremely seriously. Game Lore: Hades in the game is much like his Mythological counterpart, residing over the Underworld and being a strict father to Zagreus.
